Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take?

Some of this depends on the complexity of your plan and your individual schedule. But for most clients, the entire process of designing and implementing their customized estate plan takes about 3-5 weeks start to finish. For an additional fee, it is possible to expedite the process in cases of illness, upcoming travel plans, marriage, etc.

Who will be working with me throughout the process?

You will be working with a small team consisting of an estate planning attorney licensed to practice in your state, a paralegal, and a client relations manager.  That’s it! These three individuals will be your guides throughout the entire process and will stay in close contact with you to answer your questions and address any concerns that arise along the way.

How much does an eLegacy estate plan cost?

This depends on the type of plan (Will or Trust), your goals and objectives, and the complexity of your estate. In your initial consult, we’ll cover all of these variables with you and will quote you a flat-fee for your customized estate planning solution, so you’ll know exactly how much it will cost before you even commit.

Where are your attorneys and staff members located?

Everywhere!  We have attorneys and staff located all across the United States.  Your attorney will be licensed to practice in your particular state and will be knowledgeable in the peculiarities of your state’s laws.

How does video conferencing work?

It’s easy.  You schedule a time for your meeting and we’ll email you a link to join the video conference at that time.  You can join on virtually any device – phone, laptop, desktop.  We use Zoom software for our video conferences.  If you’ve never used Zoom on your device, you may need to install a plug-in or app the very first time.
